Yext Location Pages
Overview & Role
Yext location pages make it possible for retail clients with multiple physical locations to create a microsite for every store with accurate local information, a directory to see the overview of the locations, and a store locator to be able to search locations and see them on a map. Accurate local information on thousands of microsites is great for SEO, and also helpful for consumers.
The biggest challenge was creating page designs that maximize flexibility – so that they can scale to accommodate varying lengths of information from the shortest city name to the longest, or have sections drop out if the featured services aren’t available at a specific location and still look intentional.
We also worked to customize designs for different clients and industries. We initially designed the pages to feature content that met common needs and goals for store locations across industries, then tailored aspects of the user experience to improve the product for different clients and sectors.
We worked directly with companies to make sure the pages were on brand, made content recommendations in terms of imagery and character counts, and often had to create our own design system and make recommendations if an aspect of the brand was missing alternative fonts, imagery, etc, or if they didn’t have a strong web presence.
Major brands including Arbys, American Eagle, Footlocker and Sonic adopted the location pages we created to serve their customers around the country and around the world.
